URLA-MORDOGAN-KARABURUN TOUR
Marmaris
05.10.2025 (Pazar-Sunday)

Description

We invite you, our valued guests who love roads and journeys, to explore Urla, one of the Aegean's paradises, where fifty kilometers of coastline meets the sparkling blue of the sea and where historical remnants still linger. Our delightful day will take us as far as Karaburun-Mordoğan, home of the fragrant narcissus, a symbol of love. We aim to explore the region's most beautiful spots together, capture the most beautiful photos, and create fond memories.
TOUR PROGRAM:
We will meet you, our valued guests, at 6:00 a.m. at Marmaris Eşref Girginç Park (across from LC Waikiki) and depart for Izmir. After a free breakfast break along the way, we will continue our journey and reach Urla. We begin our exploration of this precious district of Izmir, a district known for its natural beauty, where Necati Cumalı drew inspiration from his poems and where Nobel laureate Yorgo Seferis grew up. First, we head to Sanat Street in the heart of Urla. We explore the streets, where handcrafted goods are sold and where the most elegant restaurants and boutiques are located. If it's open, we also visit the Necati Cumalı Memorial and Culture House and explore this house, filled with precious memories of the author's life. From there, we head to the heart of Urla, the Malgaca Market. Preserving its original architectural texture, the Malgaca Market has been the center of trade in Urla for centuries. Some shops, passed down from father to son, are still in business, while others have become shops like souvenir shops, ice cream parlors, and katmer shops as their professions have become obsolete. We give you free time in the market so you can explore freely, according to your interests. After some free time, we set our sights on another of Urla's treasures, the pier. During our free time at the Urla pier, you can enjoy a pleasant stroll, capture some stunning photos, and then stop for lunch at one of the fish restaurants lining the shore. You'll sample a variety of Aegean herbs and choose from a variety of delicious fish menus.

After filling our stomachs, we set our sights on Mordoğan, a town in Karaburun, just as the narcissus is in bloom, to continue our exploration. Before reaching Mordoğan, we stop for a taste in Balıklıova to sample one of the region's most famous delicacies. Named for its abundance of fish, Balıklıova takes its name from its abundance of fish, and we take a short break to sample Balıklıova's cookies, its most famous delicacy. We then continue our journey and reach Mordoğan. Known as the place where the sun rises purple, Mordoğan is also a place steeped in mythological tales. We begin our visits here at the Ayşe Kadın Mosque, built in memory of Ayşe Hatun, who passed away at a young age. Accompanied by our guide, we listen to Ayşe Hatun's sad story and tour the mosque. After visiting Mordoğan, we travel to the district of Karaburun, famous for its narcissus flowers. We tour Karaburun Port, accompanied by our guide's narration of the Narcissus legend. We conclude this vibrant day with a visit to Karaburun and begin our return journey to Marmaris. After several stops along the way, we arrive in Marmaris and say goodbye to you at our meeting points, hoping to see you on future tours.
