DAY 1 – TUESDAY, JANUARY 20, 2026
IZMIR AIRPORT TRANSFER – IZMIR → GAZIANTEP FLIGHT – GAZIANTEP MUSEUMS & HISTORICAL STREETS – HOTEL
We'll begin our semester exploration at 2:00 AM, departing from Marmaris Eşref Girniç Park. We'll arrive at the airport and board SunExpress flight XQ 9128 from 6:00 AM to 7:40 AM from Izmir (ADB) to Gaziantep (GZT).
After meeting our guide and vehicle at Gaziantep Airport, we'll take a short breakfast break and embark on our impressive and appetizing itinerary that explores the city's cultural heritage. We first visit the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, home to one of the world's largest mosaic collections. In this impressive space, considered the world's second-largest mosaic museum after the Bardo Museum in Tunisia, we follow the stories of thousands of years of colors and motifs step by step, as our guide narrates them. We feel as if we're walking through the streets of an ancient city amidst the mosaics.

Then, we move on to the Bey Neighborhood to see the streets where Atatürk was registered. We take a pleasant stroll through this neighborhood, with its stone houses, narrow streets, and traces of ancient Gaziantep life, and then take a short coffee break.

Turning our gaze back to history, we visit the Panorama Defense and Heroism Museum, which offers a fascinating account of the city's glorious defense. We hear three-dimensional reconstructions of how the city earned its title of "Gazi" (Gazi), witnessing the museum's powerful atmosphere.

Following this, we visit the Hammam Museum to learn more about Gaziantep's centuries-old hammam tradition. Here, we encounter the region's hygiene culture, rituals, and traces of traditional life. Our next stop is the Kitchen Museum, one of the museums that best reflects the country's culinary heritage. Founded by Ali İhsan Göğüş, this private museum explores the story of Gaziantep cuisine, stretching from past to present. We then visit the Money Museum to explore the historical development of money. Our guide's narration of numismatic collections, ancient coins, and the evolution of trade transforms the experience into an engaging journey.

We head to the Coppersmiths' Bazaar to witness coppersmithing, one of Gaziantep's oldest handicrafts, firsthand. The sound of hammering rising from every shop and the examples of traditional craftsmanship are among the most vivid memories of this visit.

On our way, we pass the Zincirli Bedesten (Covered Bazaar) to soak up the atmosphere of the historic bazaar. Then, we take a short break at Tahmis Kahvesi, where coffee has been ground since 1635.

At the end of the day, we give our guests free time to explore Gaziantep's unique flavors. Beyran, katmer, ali nazik, baklava, yuvalama, içli köfte, kuru dolma, flavored coffees, and many more await us.

In the evening, we transfer to our hotel in Gaziantep. (GAZİANTEP ACCOMMODATION) 4★ Gaziantep Safir Hotel
DAY 2 – Wednesday, January 21, 2026
Göbeklitepe – Karahantepe – Halfeti – Accommodation Şanlıurfa
After breakfast at our hotel, we set off for one of history's most important archaeological discoveries. Our first stop is Göbeklitepe, considered the starting point of human history. Our guide explains this ritualistic site, which is 7,000 years older than Stonehenge in England and 7,500 years older than the Egyptian pyramids, and we explore it in detail. We experience the T-shaped columns, reliefs, and the fascinating atmosphere of the excavation site firsthand.
Following our visit to Göbeklitepe, we depart for Karahantepe, an even older site and considered one of the largest ritual sites yet discovered. Thirty-six times the size of Göbeklitepe, this impressive site sheds light on human history with its modernized structure. Accompanied by our guide's narration, we explore the unique architecture and artifacts unearthed during the excavations.
After our visit to Karahantepe, we begin our journey to Halfeti, a city that joined the Slow Cities network and was largely submerged by the construction of the Birecik Dam in 2000. Upon arrival in this hidden paradise, awarded the international Cittaslow (Slow City) designation, we embark on a Halfeti Boat Tour (optional) accompanied by unparalleled views of the Euphrates. Our guide explains the ancient settlements now submerged, the surviving village of Savaşan, and the unforgettable story of the region's unique black rose.
Following our boat tour, we depart for Şanlıurfa and check in at our hotel in the evening. After checking in at our hotel, we join our guests who wish to participate in Sıra Gecesi, one of the most enjoyable experiences of Urfa culture. (ŞANLIURFA ACCOMMODATION) 5★ Nevali Hotel & Convention Center
DAY 3 – Thursday, January 22, 2026
Archaeology Museum – Haleplibahçe – Balıklıgöl – Harran – Gaziantep Airport Transfer – Antep-İzmir Flight – İzmir-Marmaris Transfer
After breakfast at our hotel, we head to the Şanlıurfa Archaeology Museum, home to one of the most valuable collections in human history. In this large museum, where hundreds of artifacts from Göbeklitepe and the Neolithic Period are exhibited, we follow the traces of history step by step, accompanied by our guide's narration.
Then, we visit the Haleplibahçe Mosaic Museum, known for its famous mosaic scenes depicting warrior Amazon women, the world's first. We closely examine this impressive artistic heritage, listening to our guide explain the mosaics' colors, compositions, and millennia-old stories.
Following our museum tours, we head to the sacred site, considered the heart of Şanlıurfa. We explore this mystical atmosphere, taking in the views of Balıklıgöl, Lake Halilürrahman, Ayn Zeliha, the castle, and the region's unique architecture. We visit the cave where Abraham was born and the Mevlid-i Halil Mosque. Following our visits, we take a short coffee break to sample Urfa's local delicacies before setting off for one of Mesopotamia's oldest cities: Harran.

In Harran:
• Conical-domed houses
• Experience the Harran Culture House
• The ruins of Harran University, considered the world's first university
• The vast landscape of the Harran Plain
We tour and see the city, accompanied by our guide's narration. Guests who wish can take photos in traditional clothing at the culture house and experience firsthand the region's traditional lifestyle. After our Harran visit, we depart for Gaziantep, guided by the fascinating information and unforgettable views we've received throughout the day.

We arrive at Gaziantep Airport and board our return flight from Gaziantep (GZT) 10:45 PM to Izmir (ADB) 12:40 AM with SunExpress XQ 9229.

After landing in Izmir, we begin our return transfer to Marmaris with our waiting vehicle. Upon arrival in Marmaris at midnight, we bid farewell to our valued guests at our meeting points.
