Vineyards, Greek Melodies and Endless Blue “From Vathi to Pythagorio, from wine-scented villages to friendship-filled tables, an Aegean fairytale…”
We will taste wine in the shade of vineyards, stroll through bougainvillea-scented villages, and dance to Greek melodies. From the historic squares of Vathi to the ancient harbor of Pythagorio, you will touch a new story at every step. Specially planned for those who want both discovery and relaxation, this tour promises to slow down the flow of time. If you’re ready, the Samos Dream begins…
DAY 1: MARMARIS–KUŞADASI TRANSFER – SAMOS FERRY – WALKING ISLAND TOUR – GREEK NIGHT – HOTEL
We meet our valued guests at 02:30 in front of Eşref Girginç Park (opposite LC Waikiki) and depart towards Kuşadası Port, the departure point of the Kuşadası–Samos ferries. After customs procedures, we reach the peaceful island of Samos with an approximately one-hour ferry journey. Following passport control, we begin our walking city tour in Vathi, the capital of the island, accompanied by our guide.
SOFOULI STREET & SANTA MARIA CHURCH
We start our walk along Sofouli Street, one of the most vibrant walking routes on the island, stretching along Vathi Port, among colorful cafés and neoclassical façades. At the beginning of the street stands Santa Maria Catholic Church, the only Catholic place of worship on the island, drawing attention with its calm architecture.
SAMOS COURTHOUSE & PUBLIC LIBRARY
One of the finest examples of neoclassical architecture, the Samos Courthouse appears as a structure reflecting the official face of island life from past to present. Nearby, the Samos Public Library sheds light on cultural heritage with its rich collection and rare works dating back to the 16th century.
PYTHAGORAS SQUARE & LION STATUE
Located at the heart of the city, Pythagoras Square is named after the famous philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras. The marble Lion Statue, a symbol of independence, represents the island’s struggle for freedom. Here, we take a short rest and photo break.
NATIONAL BANK OF GREECE & THEMISTOKLIS SOFOULIS SQUARE
Continuing our route, we view the National Bank of Greece building from the outside, reflecting the elegance of Greek architecture. We then reach the square where the statue of Themistoklis Sofoulis stands, one of Samos’ most important figures, known for his contributions to archaeology and for serving three terms as Prime Minister of Greece.
Throughout this walk, we experience the island’s cultural texture, historical symbols, and the warmth of daily life together. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel, check into our rooms, and rest.
GREEK NIGHT – SYRTAKI (Optional)
After a short rest, guests who wish may join the traditional Greek Night held in the evening. Filled with live music, syrtaki dances, and delicious flavors, this night will be one of the most memorable events of your Samos holiday.

DAY 2: FREE TIME IN SAMOS | AN AEGEAN DAY AT YOUR OWN PACE
After the first day, today is time to enjoy a day entirely your own…
Yesterday, we walked through the history-filled streets of Vathi, drank coffee under the shadows of neoclassical buildings, relaxed our souls with Aegean melodies, and made a dynamic start to the island with the traditional Greek Night. Today is completely free time.
For guests who wish, suggestions for the day include:
Beach walks or sea enjoyment
You can take an early morning walk around Vathi Port and sip your coffee facing the sea. There are beaches within walking distance for those who want to enjoy the sea.
Shopping and local flavor discovery
Island olives, lavender soaps, Samos wine, and handmade ceramics… You can shop for souvenirs and support the local economy in boutique shops and workshops along Sofouli Street.
A calm day with libraries, museums, and cafés
You may visit the Samos Public Library we saw from the outside yesterday or spend time in a small bookstore near the square. Even sitting in Pythagoras Square and watching daily life is an experience on this island.
Dining recommendations
You may try island-specific flavors at venues recommended by the guide during the Day 1 walking tour or at places you personally like.
Suggestion for photography enthusiasts
You can capture wonderful shots along the promenade in the morning light and crown the day with a sunset reflecting on the harbor in the evening. Spend today on the island at your own pace. Whether you continue exploring or simply sit in a café and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
“Sometimes traveling is not about reaching somewhere, but feeling the Aegean where you stand…”
Our accommodation will again be at Samos Hotel, located in the center of Samos.
DAY 3: IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF WINE, HONEY, AND HISTORY | RETURN TO KUŞADASI AND MARMARIS
After our final breakfast at the hotel, we prepare our luggage and check out. But we have no intention of spending our last hours in Samos ordinarily… Today, we set out on a pleasant journey through special stops that reflect the soul of the island.
SAMOS WINE MUSEUM
Our first stop is the Samos Wine Museum, the birthplace of the island’s world-famous sweet wines. As we walk among historic barrels, we learn about the island’s viticulture history and taste wines made from the famous Muscat grapes. Wine is not just a drink, but the memory of these lands…
KOKKARI VILLAGE
Our next stop is Kokkari, one of the most picturesque villages in the Aegean. Stone houses, narrow streets adorned with bougainvillea, and light-blue shutters… We take a short walk through the village center and photograph the fish restaurants and cafés along the coast. Guests may also enjoy a short coffee break here.
MYTILINIOUS & HONEY SHOP VISIT
Via winding roads, we head to the village of Mytilinious, where traditional architecture still lives on. At the shop known as the “honey cave,” Bee Love Samos, we discover 100% natural honeys, propolis, and beeswax products made from the island’s flora. A unique opportunity to shop and learn about beekeeping.
PYTHAGORIO – ANCIENT HARBOR & FREE TIME
Our final stop is Pythagorio, one of the most photographed areas of the island. With its historic harbor, pastel-colored houses, and stone streets carrying the footsteps of Pythagoras, this town feels like an open-air museum. During our free time, guests may walk along the coast, visit the ancient theater, or enjoy a final Greek coffee before bidding farewell to the island.
RETURN TO THE PORT & FERRY JOURNEY
At the time announced by our guide, we meet at the port and complete customs procedures. We then take the ferry to Kuşadası and continue our return journey to Marmaris by our waiting vehicle. For three days, we walked the stone streets of Samos, accompanied Greek melodies, and listened to old stories under the shade of vineyards. Like all beautiful things, this tour comes to an end, but now we carry memories in our pockets and friendships in our hearts.
“To love an island is to feel its scent, its color, its rhythm… We were together in the Samos Dream, hoping to meet again in the next dream.”
