TOUR PROGRAM

DAY 1: MARMARIS – JOURNEY TO ÇANAKKALE – ANCIENT CITY OF TROY – TROY MUSEUM – TEVFİKİYE VILLAGE – HOTEL

After the breaks we will give along the way, we arrive at one of the destinations most told in history but never fully felt without seeing it on site.

We make our first visit to the Ancient City of Troy, which sheds light on world history with its nearly 5000-year-old past. In this unique city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we discover the legendary Trojan War step by step through our guide’s narration inspired by Homer’s verses. After taking photos in front of the symbolic Trojan Horse at the entrance of the ancient city, we follow the traces of history among the ruins.

Then we move on to the Troy Museum for a very special visit that will help us understand Troy better. This rich collection, ranging from Homer’s Iliad to the artifacts unearthed in excavations, enables you to visualize the civilization of Troy. Opened after the 2018 Year of Troy and awarded the 2020 European Museum of the Year Award, this museum becomes one of the most impressive stops of our tour.

After our museum visit, we continue our journey passing through Tevfikiye Village, the closest settlement to the Troy archaeological site. In this archaeo-village, which aims to keep the spirit of the Trojan era alive, squares, coffeehouses and village life carry the traces of the past to the present.

At the end of the day, we arrive at Kule Hotel in the center of Çanakkale, where we will have dinner and stay overnight, and complete our intense but enjoyable day with rest. ÇANAKKALE OVERNIGHT (Kule Hotel)

DAY 2: GALLIPOLI PENINSULA HISTORICAL NATIONAL PARK – KILITBAHIR CASTLE – SEYIT ONBAŞI MONUMENT – MARTYRS’ MEMORIAL – 57TH REGIMENT MARTYRS’ CEMETERY – CONKBAYIRI – ANZAC COVE – 1915 RED CRESCENT FIELD HOSPITAL EXHIBITION

After breakfast, we start our full-day Martyrs’ Memorial program, which carries the deepest traces of Çanakkale and invites you to think and feel at every step. As soon as we cross the strait and reach the Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park, the atmosphere changes; sounds fade and words give way to silence.

Declared a national park in 1973, these lands carry the memory of thousands of losses during the Gallipoli Campaigns and bear witness to one of the heaviest prices in history with their monuments, martyrs’ cemeteries, batteries and war remnants. With our guide’s narration, we listen not only to the events but also to sacrifice, resistance and the limits of human will. On this journey, we sometimes feel sorrow, sometimes pride; we think in silence and stand with respect.

Among the visits we will make during the day are Kilitbahir Castle, Seyit Onbaşı Monument and Mecidiye Batteries, the Çanakkale Martyrs’ Memorial and the 57th Regiment Martyrs’ Cemetery. At every stop, we understand better why these lands are called “impassable.”

Then we visit Conkbayırı, where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk gave the order that changed the course of the war. The stories told here once again make us feel that Çanakkale was not only a фронт but a turning point.

Continuing our program, we panoramically view Anzac Cove, where the Anzac troops landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula, and listen to a different face of this front with our guide’s explanations.

At the last stop of the day, we visit one of the most impressive museum areas opened in recent years, the 1915 Red Crescent Field Hospital Exhibition. This exhibition, which tells under what conditions wounded soldiers were treated in mobile hospitals at the front, enables you to feel the events more closely with its audio reenactments and documents. As you walk through in silence, you realize that this museum often tells more than words.

After this intense and meaningful day, we return to our Kule Hotel in the center of Çanakkale for dinner and overnight stay, and end the day in tranquility.

DAY 3: TROJAN HORSE – ÇANAKKALE NAVAL MUSEUM – AYNALI BAZAAR – RETURN TO MARMARIS

After breakfast, we leave our hotel to discover the final stops of this special journey. With a short and pleasant walk along the promenade, we reach the Trojan Horse, one of the symbols of Çanakkale. While taking photos in front of this magnificent horse, which was used in the movie Troy and gifted to Çanakkale after the filming, we touch one last time a story woven with legends.

Then we visit the Çanakkale Naval Museum, which sheds light on the city’s maritime history. Inside the museum, we see the Nusret Mine Ship, which changed the course of the Gallipoli Campaigns, up close and listen to the story of this silent hero from our guide.

After the museum visit, we move on to Aynalı Bazaar, one of the most special spots of the city that inspired the folk song “Çanakkale içinde Aynalı Çarşı.” During our free time in the historic bazaar, you can shop, browse local products of Çanakkale and end this meaningful journey at your own pace.

After meeting at our vehicle at the designated time, we start our return journey to Marmaris with breaks along the way. Upon arrival in Marmaris, we drop you off at the points where we picked you up, complete this meaningful and full tour with beautiful memories and bid farewell until we meet again on another Koral Tourism journey.

**The type of vehicle used for the tour (minibus, midibus or coach) is determined according to the final number of participants. Our company assigns the most suitable vehicle based on demand.

**Our guide has the right to make changes to the program and routes, provided that all visits are completed, taking into account conditions that may affect the course of the tour such as weather and road conditions.

**If physical conditions make a visit impossible (road, weather conditions, natural disasters, etc.), our agency cannot be held responsible for the non-realization of that visit.

**A tour is not only about the places visited, but also about the people who turn the road into pleasure. The knowledge of our guide, the safe driving of our captain and team harmony play an important role in turning your journey into beautiful memories. Tipping is not mandatory in our country and is not included in the price. However, it is one of the most elegant ways to express your satisfaction.
