The Largest Islands of the Aegean & Ancient Heritage
An unforgettable journey through the largest islands of the Aegean and their thousands-year-old heritage…
Stepping outside the usual routes, on this journey we set out to explore Turkey’s largest and most distinctive islands, revived by the cool Aegean breeze, where wine flows from the vineyards and many civilizations have left their mark. A delightful island holiday awaits us on Bozcaada and Gökçeada, which will impress you with both their historical and cultural values and their lived stories. We combine this unique journey with Bergama, one of the oldest settlements in the history of civilization with an 8,500-year past and listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, experiencing the spirit of the Aegean together with history and nature.
On this tour, we don’t just travel; we collect new memories at every stop.
DAY 1: DEPARTURE FROM MARMARIS – AYVALIK CENTER – TAKSİYARHİS MONUMENT MUSEUM – CLOCK MOSQUE – CUNDA ISLAND – ÇANAKKALE
We meet at 06:00 in the morning at Eşref Girginç Park (opposite LC Waikiki) and begin our pleasant journey. Reaching Ayvalık along olive-scented Aegean roads, we have free time for lunch in the center, where we feel the streets and daily life of Ayvalık.
After the break, we visit one of Ayvalık’s iconic structures, the Taksiyarhis Monument Museum. With its neo-classical architecture, we tour this impressive building accompanied by our guide’s narration, and then see the Clock Mosque.
Next, we head to one of Ayvalık’s most special stops, Cunda Island. Walking among its stone houses, cobblestone streets and island atmosphere, we feel time slow down. We visit the Sevim and Necdet Kent Library, one of the cultural symbols of the island, and take a short break facing the Aegean at the scenic Fahrisin Hill.
Our final visit in Cunda is the magnificent Taksiyarhis Church, now serving as the Ayvalık Rahmi Koç Museum after restoration. After examining its rich collections, we set off toward Çanakkale at the end of the day.
We check into our hotel, have dinner and rest. (ÇANAKKALE OVERNIGHT – KULE HOTEL ÇANAKKALE)

Our next stop is Kaleköy. We tour the castle ruins with our guide and take photo breaks at points offering some of the most impressive views of the island. Then we visit Tepeköy, one of the island’s highest points, and watch the endless Aegean panorama.
After our visits, we head to Gökçeada Center. We give free time for lunch here. During this time, you may stroll through the island streets and shop for local products such as olive oil and cosmetics, the island-specific efi almond cookies and dibek coffee. Bozcaada is also known for its local wine production. For guests who wish, there is an opportunity to join a wine tasting at one of the producers in the center. Accompanied by our guide’s narration, we feel the splendor of antiquity and then return to our vehicle by cable car.
