The giant rocks of the Beşparmak Mountains, seemingly ready to topple over, calm down in their secret encounter with Lake Bafa, where time stands still. A handsome shepherd falls in love with the moon goddess Selena, and fortunately, their union is eternal… The ancient Greek city of Herakleia adorns the shores of Lake Bafa with lacework; its dignified inhabitants are proud to have dedicated the city to the mighty Hercules, a symbol of courage and resilience.
For many years, Domatia, today's Doğanbey Village, endured the pain of abandonment. It suffered, just like the hard-working people of the two countries displaced during the population exchange. It is slowly shaking itself off, shaking off its complacency; it walks down its cobblestone streets and greets its guests. The mighty Menderes River, which has put to shame those who say that mountains don't meet mountains, but people meet each other, has brought together vast mountains and cities for thousands of years, yearning to reconcile. On one side lies ancient Miletus in its buried bed, and on the opposite bank, ancient Priene, leaning joyfully against the steep Samsun Mountain, awaits you with its columned temple, theater, and orderly streets.
TOUR PROGRAM
On this one-day tour, we meet at Eşref Girginç Park at 7:00 am and begin our delightful tour. After a free breakfast break along the way, we begin the program you've read above, with our guide's poetic narration. Among the places you'll see on this tour are Lake Bafa, Heraklia, Doğanbey Village (this village is listed alongside Şirince Village on every website you find when searching for "the most beautiful villages in the Aegean" on Google—you'll love it), and the ancient city of Priene. According to the program, we plan to have a free lunch at a beachside restaurant at the far end of the Dilek Peninsula. On our journey to our restaurant, we'll follow the Bird Sanctuary, and if we're lucky, we might photograph flamingos, pelicans, and many other birds in their natural habitat.

After completing all our excursions, we'll begin our return journey, feeling satisfied with a wonderful day. We'll drop you off at our pick-up points in Marmaris and say goodbye until we meet again on other tours.
