TOUR PROGRAM
DAY 1: MARMARIS–ÇEŞME TRANSFER – ÇEŞME–CHIOS CATAMARAN JOURNEY – CITY CENTER – NORTH ISLAND TOUR – HOTEL
We meet our valued guests at 02:00 at Eşref Girginç Park (opposite LC Waikiki) and depart for Çeşme Port, the departure point of the Çeşme–Chios ferry services. We arrive at Çeşme Ulusoy Port around 08:00, and after ticket and passport procedures, we board our ferry. After an approximately 30-minute journey, we arrive on the island and meet our guide. Following customs procedures, we load our luggage onto our waiting vehicle and begin discovering Chios Island, the hidden treasure of the Aegean.
With our guide, we visit the Chios bazaar known as Aplotaria, the Mecidiye Mosque commissioned by Sultan Abdülmecit, and Vounaki Square, the largest and busiest square on the island. We then visit Chios Castle, originally built during the Byzantine period and later serving as the administrative center of the island during the Genoese and Ottoman periods, where we examine Ottoman-era structures inside the castle.
After the city center visits, we begin our North Island tour. Our first stop is the four windmills by the sea known as Tabakika, one of the island’s most iconic symbols. The purpose of these historical windmills was to draw water for the leather-processing tanneries that gave the area its name. In recent years, with contributions from the municipality, they have been restored and have become a popular photo spot for all visitors to the island. After our photo break, we continue our tour. Our next stop is Daskalopetra, the area where Homer, the most famous poet of ancient Chios, contributed the Iliad and the Odyssey to world literature. This large rock was turned into a school by his students in the 6th century BC. This impressive site will make you reflect on the lifestyle and artistic understanding of thousands of years ago.
We then head to Langada, the island’s most charming fishing village, for our lunch break. At traditional Greek taverns by the sea, you will have the opportunity to taste classic mezes of Greek cuisine, signature dishes, and the freshest seafood. On the return route, we take a photo break at the Agios Isidoros Church, one of the symbolic points of the island, located over the sea. It is believed that the story of mastic gum began with this saint. After completing our North Island tour visits, we proceed to our hotel. (CHIOS ISLAND ACCOMMODATION) *Diana Hotel
DAY 2: FULL DAY FREE TIME / OPTIONAL WEST ISLAND TOUR & SYRTAKI NIGHT
On the second day of our trip, we offer our valued guests a full day of free time. During this time, you may create your own program according to your preferences, such as shopping, harbor walks, or enjoying the sea. Guests who wish may optionally join the West Island Tour and the Greek Night entertainment in the evening. Participation in extra tours will be finalized before the departure of the tour, and the program details are as follows:
WEST ISLAND TOUR: After breakfast, we take our seats in our vehicle and head toward Nea Moni Monastery, built approximately a thousand years ago and having served for centuries as one of the most important religious centers of the Aegean. This monastery has been declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. We then visit Anavatos Village, considered the most well-protected village on the island for centuries, and learn about its sorrowful history. Afterwards, we head toward Avgonima Village for lunch. On the return route, we visit Kambos, one of the most interesting and special villages on the island, featuring magnificent mansions from the Genoese period (14th–15th centuries) and medieval architecture. In this area, we take a coffee break in the garden of a beautiful mansion from earlier periods. This mansion also serves as a museum that tells the history of the island’s famous oranges since the Genoese era. With this visit, we conclude our West Island tour and return to our hotel. (CHIOS ISLAND ACCOMMODATION) *Diana Hotel
TOUR FEE: €25.00 (Transportation + guiding service)
GREEK NIGHT: If you wish, you can enjoy traditional island dishes at dinner and take part in an unforgettable Greek night with live Bouzouki music, Greek songs, and dances.

DAY 3: SOUTH ISLAND TOUR – ARMOLIA – MESTA – PYRGI VILLAGES – FREE LUNCH TIME – CHIOS PORT – ÇEŞME JOURNEY – ÇEŞME–MARMARIS TRANSFER
After breakfast, we take our seats in our vehicle and begin our tour toward the villages in the south of the island, known as Mastichochoria, which hold the monopoly on mastic gum production worldwide. Our first stop is Armolia Village, famous for its handmade ceramics for centuries, where we take a short break to visit one of the renowned ceramic workshops. We then head to Mesta, one of the island’s other popular villages, known as the labyrinth village. With its magnificent medieval architecture and the impressive Taxiarchis Church, one of the most important churches on Chios Island, you will feel as if you are lost in time during our visit to this ancient medieval village. Like other villages, Mesta was built to protect against pirate attacks, with only two entrances and exits, which could be closed in times of danger to ensure security.
After our visits, we reach the village square and take a coffee break. We then set off toward the fairy-tale village of Pyrgi. Pyrgi Village is one of the most visited places on the island, with its narrow streets reflecting the Middle Ages, houses built adjacent to each other for protection against pirate attacks, and decorated with a special plaster technique. We believe you will admire the geometrically patterned houses of this village, where you will feel as if you are traveling through time.
After completing our village visits within the scope of the South Island tour, we go to a seaside tavern for lunch. Here, our guests may choose from a menu consisting of various seafood dishes and mezes. Thus, we conclude our Chios Island program and head to Chios Port to board our ferry. After an approximately 30-minute journey, we return to Çeşme Port. Following passport procedures, we meet our waiting vehicle and driver at the port. With the happiness of having experienced something different and discovered yet another island, we begin our return journey to Marmaris, arriving late at night. We drop you off at the points where we picked you up and bid you farewell until we meet again on another tour.
