Beaches and Sport
Most Turkish beaches are narrow and consist of dark, shingle type sand. The main beach of Kusadasi is called ‘Ladies Beach’although there are a number of other;smaller beaches in the area. Gumbet is famous for its beachlife, offering superb watersports and a beach which is a kilometre long, stretching around the resort’s bay. The resort of Bitez is set around a bay, with a windsurfing school, a long stretch of beach, and wooden piers from which you can plunge into the sea. All the larger beaches provide good watersports including waterskiing, windsurfing, para-gliding, pedaloes, jetskis and banana boats. Volleyball is often played on the beach and tenis available in most hotels or resorts.
Nightlife
The Aegean coast resorts offer some of the liveliest nightlife in Turkey. Kusadasi is a hive of activity,  with plently of  bars and discos to be found amongst the streets and bazaars. Bodrum is  also a lively, cosmopolitan town with excellent nightlife. Visit the Halikarnas disco and dance until dawn. Gumbet an Bitez are slightly quieter, beach based resorts, but they also have their own selection of bars and restaurants and Bodrum is nearby for a big night out.
